And that something, is asskissing at the expense of actually doing the job. God forbid you make it through to the interview and somehow, ALL of your skills from your resume go down the tubes because you said an Um or Uh ONCE!! Or something with your looks, maybe coordination or fashion that really should have NO fucking bearing on how competent someone is on doing their job. No, I guess interviewers really need someone low functioning on the totem pole so they don't feel threatened and that they can be using said human bidets for their asses as substitute insecurity hole fillers. Alot like Trump and other fucks that need constant validation and subordination of skill and subservience to even work a day. This is evident in a review for a Marriott hotel I applied to and the position I was AUTOMATICALLY rejected by after taking their interview questions on how to handle clients the best way you can. So didn't get that and I accepted it. Come to find out when I'm doing looks at reviews around the area I want to work in because it's expensive by nature and it seems the wages are too, even a DISHWASHER can make $20 an hour FULL TIME!!!! Anyway, this hire, and this review was posted THREE DAYS after my auto rejection and this guy had this title based on the negative reviews, apparently did ALLLLLL not only the wrong choice answers, but even those that wouldn't even FACTOR into the multiple choice because people wouldn't be THAT fucking dumbass to do so! This guy, Rudy, did. No less that THREE in ONE FUCKING DAY!!! Of course, I go and look, no opening yet. If there is, even if I get auto rejected until I get a job to keep my not being homeless, I'm applying again because if even someone of that shit like Rudy can make it, then it should be effortless for me! But this misses the point of this rant title: Rudy got this position because he either 1, knew someone who got him in, and or 2, knows how to really ass suck the interviewer where the skills don't matter, it's how you massage the ego of the hiring decider. And this is why quality is going down in jobs all around and just rank incompetence like seen here in the reviews. I KNOW for a fact I wouldn't have THAT many bad reviews about me. I'd try to do everything realistic and if that failed then recommend they stay somewhere else because the fact of the matter is the hotel's full and really comp them if it were our fault. It's also the same for the supermarket manager with the politician creds needed to be elected if he ever ran. Never really understood and don't want to really, how being friendly somehow trumped professionalism, ie doing the job comfortably and masterfully. As long as you do the bare minimum of talking respectfully as you should to any stranger outside in public, then let your skills do the talking in why you were hired in the first place, this shouldn't be such a taboo where if you say you're the job first and not much of a talker in the job, like non job related gabbing, where you're overlooked for someone like Rudy who really knows how to use his tongue to get in all those nasty ass unwiped crevices and REALLY take away his boss' "insecurities". It costs the company, but what will they do? Lay off someone like me. "I don't like him, he does his job but doesn't talk to his or her co workers. How unfriendly. Despite that this person is like an automaton where you set it and forget it, and all the work gets done correctly, ehhh, s/he hurt my widdle feewings, so LAYOFF TIME, FUCKER!!!!!!!!" Hire someone like Rudy level: "DAMN!!! WHY does this person NOT KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING??!!!!!!! Has the (some rant unrelated to the fact you fired/laid off a competent person who focused on their job and not small co worker talk.) But at least s/he REALLY knows ALLLL there is to know about some shitty ass reality talk show or REALLY knows ALLLL there is to know about BET and rap music. Can't get rid of that person because MAN, we CLICK!!!" I'm genuinely surprised workplace shootings don't happen more often. If this kind of illogical, even harmful behavior keeps up, I would say it should start and then maybe corporations and job hirers would understand that you're hiring for a JOB to be completed COMPETENTLY, NOT that you can 100% get along with your new hire/co worker! If you want that, get a husband/wife/pet/AI friend. I'm not your lover or parent or source of support. There's people in professions and religious places for that. Get your act together and your shit and accept you're an adult and hire someone that *GASP!* Can actually DO THE JOB instead of coddling you like the MANCHILD/KIDULT you are and need psychological help for!!!
