I am dnoe with Nintendo

I have been a Nintendo fan for as long as I can remember; perhaps, for the past 2 decades and change of my life. And with this, would come associated with the desire to connect and relate to people who share my passion for all things Nintendo.
Now... no more. My support of anything Nintendo stops with the Switch. Never will I purchase another game, accessory, hardware or other associated paraphernalia of the company, for as long as I live.
It is not because they, for their size and longevity, surviving through many a disappointing console performance, decided to walk the path of wokeness beginning from June 2015. It is not because I find myself tired of their offerings, like many other so-called 'fans' would screech to do; likely the same ones that will not hesitate to download and burn away whatever money they have at games such as Mario Kart Tour, Fire Emblem Heroes, Pokemon Masters and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
It is because of their audience. Or, rather, a specific aspect of their audience.
When 'Nintendo' is said to much anyone, what may first come to mind is families enjoying their games; father, mother and their children. An image which is all-around wholesome and approving. And I get the appeal of their big-name franchises to the family unit. That being said, the family unit is not the specified audience I am speaking about.
Nay. That actually is... give me a moment to retch. That actually is the furry fandom.

A fandom where all things moral, upright and desirable go to die. A fandom that is shameless in corrupting franchises created for young children, and stuffing them with nothing-left-to-the-imagination homosexuality. A fandom that worships the penis, and all the disgusting sexual acts that can be done with it, sans using it to actually begin new families with grown females.
They are why I wash my hands clean of all things Nintendo. Not even Nintendo's biggest franchises are spared their fan-produced subversions, and there are a lot of them. Only weeks ago, some NY teacher attributed major Super Mario Bros. characters as belonging to the LG-shit-ty community. The so-called gaming news website Polygon attributes Link to being a 'gay icon', all because of bullshit fanfiction floating online. And I don't want to get started on Kotaku, who never hesitate to liken Pokemon to drag queens in the same breath.
Disgusting, puerile takes on family-friendly franchises, the lot of them. Likely conjured up by pedophiles who know justice will never find them, wherever they are. And yet, they're just the tip of the iceberg on how insidiously shitty, and devoid of any morals, the furry fandom associates with Nintendo.
Of all the consoles in existence, of all the consoles the 'Big Three' produces, 99.99999999999% of furry fandom artwork will feature a Nintendo console, without fail. That's just point one of why I abstain from all things Nintendo, going forward. Creations of Nintendo's such as Fox McCloud and Incineroar have been turned to deplorable idols by which their disgusting sexual fantasies are expressed. That is point two. Point two even extends to the Super Mario Bros. Movie, in which their biggest complaint (along with some of the larger Nintendo fanbase) is the absence of derrieres on Mario and Donkey Kong. Which also brings to mind an IGN comment from the past month or so, in which some user of it, shamelessly, expresses interest in a 'rule34' rendition of one scene in the movie. Point three. Just these three points, are why I can no longer in good conscience, spend money on Nintendo products. The adults that enjoy them are freaks of nature that delight in pornographic cartoon animal drawings, and fursuiting; it's as if their minds, doomed to perpetually remain as children's, are sealed away in the bodies of adults. Lacking the maturity to hold their sexual tensions back, or at least seek out responsible ways to address it, they turn to childhood franchises to defile with their morally bankrupt fantasies.

Now this is not to say the furry fandom has no interest in anything Sony or Microsoft. But this is entirely to say, in regards to consoles and virtual entertainment, the fandom's go-to is Nintendo. And it sickens me, to think that every time I would pick up a Switch to play, I'm engaging in the console of choice of many a furry. Better that it's tossed into a bottomless abyss. Thankfully for me, the Nintendo Switch is far from the only console that provides on-the-go home console gaming. So I'm going to turn to that, while the furry fandom continues to envenomate their brains with their sick takes on all things Nintendo.
